Are you looking for ways to help others? We have many creative and rewarding opportunities to help clients with low vision and blindness.
Whether your strengths are in events, marketing and promotion, or assisting others with hands-on training and life skills, our team is most grateful for volunteer contributions of time and effort to help us to the most for our clients. Our services and programs would not be possible without your commitment and talents.

The Volunteer Services Mission is to:
- help clients retain their independence and self-respect
- help staff provide the best possible services to our clients
- promote understanding of VisAbility programs
- provide personal growth opportunities for volunteers
A volunteer who works with a direct service program should have a commitment to helping people with disabilities and have discretion when dealing with confidential materials.
An interview with our volunteer administrator provides prospective volunteers the chance to discuss service opportunities and their interests. Volunteers must pass all required state and federal clearance checks and must complete an orientation and training program before working with clients.
